Author Instructions for Camera-Ready Paper Submission

To ensure timely publication of your accepted paper in the proceedings:

1. At least one author for each accepted paper must register for the conference by 19 October 2009 11:59PM Hong Kong Time (GMT+8).  Note that one author can register for one paper only, unless all papers are single-authored by the same person.

2.Upload your camera-ready paper in PDF, together with all source files in ZIP format and the scanned version of the signed Copyright Transfer Agreement by 19 October 2009 11:59PM Hong Kong Time (GMT+8) at
https://www.softconf.com/a/PACLIC23/

3. When preparing your final paper, follow the formatting guidelines and specifications in the PACLIC 23 style files.  It is the authors' responsibility to ensure their papers are in the correct format.  Failure to do so would cause serious delay in the publication process.

Some general points to note:

1. All final papers should conform to the formatting specifications set out in the PACLIC 23 style files.  The package contains the following files:
- paclic23.sty (LaTeX style file)
- paclic23.tex (Example LaTeX source file with author instructions)
- paclic23.pdf (PDF version of above)
- paclic23.dot (MS Word document template)
- paclic23.doc (Example Word document file with author instructions)

2. Papers must follow the single-column format with the appropriate margins as specified in the instructions for different sections.  Text and figures should not exceed the margins.

3. It is very important to specify A4 for paper size when generating your PDF file.  Embed all fonts in your PDF file.

4. The maximum length of a regular paper is 10 pages, and that of a poster paper is 8 pages.  Please make sure you observe the page limit.

5. Make sure you do not change the font types and sizes, margins, line spacing, etc. in the style files.  Your final paper should look like the given PDF example.

6. Do not include headers and page numbers on your paper.

7. Do not fully capitalize the title.  Only the first letters of all content words should be in upper case.

8. First names should come before last names when listing the authors (e.g. John Smith or Jianguo Chen, but not Smith John or Chen Jianguo).  Do not use all-capitalized letters in the last names of the authors on the first page, i.e. only the first letter of the last names should be capitalized (e.g. John Smith or Jianguo Chen, but not John SMITH or Jianguo CHEN).  For multiple authors, use comma to separate the names, and use "and" between the last two authors.

9. The superscript used to match authors with affiliations can be removed if all authors are from the same organization.

10. Watch out for the citation and references format required in the style file (Section 4.5).  It was found, unfortunately, that many authors did not follow the expected format for citations and references in their submissions.  Please make sure this is observed for the final paper.

11. When non-English examples are given, please make sure that the examples are also rendered in (1) alphabetized form, (2) English glosses, and (3) English translation.

12. Please proofread, proofread, and proofread!  Ask a native speaker to proofread your final paper, if possible.  Keep grammatical mistakes and typos to a minimum (or better still, zero).  It is the authors' responsibility to ensure the quality of the language used in their final papers and to help maintain the quality of PACLIC papers.

13. Please download and sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement. Upload a scanned version of the signed form together with your camera-ready paper.
